The Department of Marine Engineering Technology utilizes industry-recognized faculty, cutting-edge technology and research, interdisciplinary classroom instruction and hands-on, experiential learning opportunities to grow and build marine-based Aggie engineers with the confidence, skills and expertise needed to succeed in a variety of disciplines and careers.

The department takes an interdisciplinary approach to education, research and training opportunities. Aggie engineering technology graduates have a strong foundation and knowledge base in a variety of fields, including marine propulsion, electrical power, electronics, marine power systems and maritime and applied mechanical engineering.
